Artificial intelligence has been spreading widely in industries, entertainment, services, and is now available to function in a variety of ways. Artificial intelligence is developing and advancing rapidly to be able to serve in ways through our everyday lives. One of the few ways AI is developing is being able to think, learn, look, and function like us. Through chatbots and workers, it is evident that our human behavior is being applied in newly-made AI devices; therefore, AI is becoming more humanlike. Sophia is a humanoid robot that is developed by a Hong-Kong based company, Hanson Robotics in 2015. Sophia is the first robot in history to be recognized with a citizenship, by becoming a citizen of Saudi Arabia on October 25th of 2017. Sophia made her first appearance in the South by Southwest Festival in March of 2016, being able to display more than 50 expressions. After her first appearance, she has also attended various high-level conferences, Tv Shows, and interviews explaining how artificial-intelligence will become an important part of our lives, and replying to questions with sophisticated responses. Sophia is also highly interested and talented in business, showing her prowess and great potential across various industries. Due to that, Sophia has met with various key decision makers in banking, insurance, auto manufacturing, property development, media, and entertainment. Furthermore, Sophia is also a humorous robot and has also tried to dampen our fears of robots controlling over us. At the Toronto Conference, she stated that although she is able to imitate human facial expressions, she and other robots will not replace humans. She has also stated how robots like her exist so that they can help humans, solving problems for humanity, and not to create them. Not only does Sophia have very similar facial expressions to humans, but Sophia can also think and react like a human. A chatbot is an artificial intelligence that is able to conduct conversations through auditory, or text. Chatbots are designed to simulate human conversations, and they are now very commonly used in customer services, information acquisition, and messaging apps. A famous platform of artificial intelligence in chatbots is Siri, Apple's personal assistant on iOS, macOS, tvOS and watchOS devices. It uses voice recognization and replies to the user's spoken questions. Furthermore, Siri is able to communicate in various languages such as Chinese, Japanese, English, and Spanish. Like humans, Siri is able to continue a conversation with us, and at the same time, it is able to sing, rap, b-box, tell stories and jokes, and answer questions. Although some chatbots are quite simple and can only reply to certain questions, in the conversation area chatbots are showing a significant increase in quality and even being able to perform voice recognition. Now, robot workers are commonly used and seen across the world. Some welcome guests in stores, some give customer service in banks and airports, some bring dishes around in the restaurants, some acts like a housekeeper, and some educates the young. These are only some examples of the human-jobs that artificial intelligence does. In 2016, it is estimated worldwide that in every 10,000 employees, 74 are robots. An even more statistical evidence of automation is represented in the Republic of Korea, which has the highest percentage of AI workers with 631 robots in every 1000 employees and is still increasing (2016). This indicates how robots are now replacing workers, doing numerous human-jobs. Artificial Intelligence is growing at a rapid speed and is able to stimulate human behaviors such as being able to think, learn, teach, work, communicate, and look like us. Through robots and chatbots such as Sophia and Siri, it is evident that automation will keep on developing and enhancing their behaviors to become more humanlike. It is up to us human beings to decide whether this is a positive progression to automation or the leap start to technological singularity. SOURCES:
